To Be A Blessing: Pennsylvania June 2016

Update on our trip to Pennsylvania
June 2016

We have arrived home safely. Thank you for praying for us while we were on the trip. Our Lord held everything together until 2 hours before arriving home. I received a call from Michelle in which she said, "How would you like to come home to fix a van?" I said, "Oh what's the problem?" "It's not running right", she said. Michelle was out trying to get some errands completed but the van wasn't cooperating. I was able to fix the van the next day.

WEC Main Entrance

We arrived at WEC the afternoon of Tuesday June 21. Took the afternoon/evening to settle in and rest up from 2 days of driving nearly 1,000 miles.

"The Castle"

I spoke to Brian the Director of Maintenance and discovered he wanted us to replace some windows in "The Castle". Hallelujah Praise the Lord! No roof job this time. :)

On Wednesday the boys and I promptly got to work tearing out the old windows. Nicholas and Daniel were removing the old windows and Jeremiah was hauling the debris to the dumpster. I was getting the tools set up and retrieving the new windows out of storage with Jeremiah's help.

We were able to complete the replacement of 14 windows while we were there. We had a great time reconnecting with the missionaries and their kids. We also went swimming in the pool we worked on a couple of years ago.
