To Be A Blessing was started to help with spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ in a very practical way by using the talents God has given us in construction, repair and maintenance of ministry buildings in our community and around the world.
We have served ministries and churches in our community such as The Covering House, WEC International, and many churches and leaders. We have been to Japan to help rebuild houses after the Tsunami in 2011, Haiti to serve a Christian school, missionary guest house and orphanages, England to serve a mission organization that plants churches in the most unreached and hostile parts of the world.
The Lord has recently led me to do a fundraising campaign for the ministry during my daily Bible reading time in 2 Chronicles 24:8-13:
So now the king ordered a chest to be made and set outside the gate leading to the Temple of the Lord. Then a proclamation was sent throughout Judah and Jerusalem, telling the people to bring the Lord the tax that Moses, the servant of God, had required of the Israelites in the wilderness. This pleased all the leaders and the people, and they gladly brought their money and filled the chest with it. Whenever the chest became full, the Levites would carry it to the king's officials. Then the court secretary and an officer of the high priest would come and empty the chest and take it back to the Temple again. This went on day after day, and a large amount of money was collected. The king and Jehoiada gave the money to the construction supervisors, who hired metal workers, who made articles of iron and bronze for the Lord's Temple. The men in charge of the renovation worked hard and made steady progress. They restored the Temple of God according to its original design and strengthened it.
The funds we are raising are to help with the ongoing expenses of running a construction service like this. We offer our talents free of charge to those we partner with, providing them with 24 hour emergency service in HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing etc., as well as, new construction and remodeling projects and routine maintenance.
These funds will provide an income for 2 leadmen, 1 helper, a bookkeeper, overhead expenses including applicable taxes, liability insurance, workers comp, truck repairs, maintenance and gas, travel expenses and other liabilities of the ministry.
